Therapy Fees
It personally drives me nuts having to contact a business just to know the prices. So, I believe in being transparent about fees. Here's everything upfront:
Current therapy session Fee: $270 (before rebates).
Why my work is worth every penny.
Therapist supervision and EMDR consultation: $270 including GST
✅ We Accept (click on each for details):
❌ We Don't Offer:
-
Bulk billing
-
Concession rates
-
Work Cover (RTWSA)
-
DVA funding
Let's Talk about the Cost
I get it — $270 per session (before rebates) isn't pocket change. So let's be real about what you're actually paying for and why my work is worth it.
You're Getting Efficiency
I'm task-oriented and focused. We won't spend forty minutes talking about the outfit you wore to work on Monday (I'm sure it slayed, but that's not what we're here for).
Sessions with me are structured and purposeful. We might spend 5 sessions resolving a specific trauma memory that traditional talk therapy could circle around for 5 months. We get in, do the work, and aim to create genuine change.
You're Getting Experience and Advanced Training
I'm one of the most highly trained EMDR clinicians in South Australia; I'm an EMDRAA-accredited therapist, consultant, and EMDR training facilitator.
My experience and training mean we can get to the heart of issues efficiently, rather than spending months spinning our wheels.
We Can Work With Your Budget
Can't afford fortnightly sessions? That's okay. We can adjust frequency based on what works for your budget:
-
Fortnightly sessions
-
Monthly sessions
-
Intensive blocks of sessions when you can afford them
There's no one-size-fits-all approach. We'll figure out what works for you.
If Therapy Isn't Affordable Right Now
I'm determined to make high-quality trauma resources accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford 1:1 sessions.
Sign up for my newsletter — I share free resources, strategies, and content around trauma therapy. It's not therapy, but it's good stuff.
Medicare
To use Medicare, you must have:
-
A referral from your GP or psychiatrist
-
A mental health care plan
We need both documents to process your Medicare claims.
How Payment Works:
Step 1: You pay $270 upfront at the time of your session
Step 2: We process your Medicare claim for you
Step 3: Medicare deposits $98.95 directly into your nominated bank account
Step 4: Your final out-of-pocket cost is $171.05
The Medicare Safety Net:
The Medicare Safety Net is designed to help with out-of-pocket medical costs.
Once you've reached the annual Safety Net threshold (through all your medical expenses combined), the Medicare rebate increases. This means your out-of-pocket cost per session will reduce. Many clients are unaware of this benefit, it can make a real difference to your costs over the year. Learn more about how the Medicare Safety Net works →
Private Health
You can claim psychology services with most private health funds.
How It Works:
Step 1: You pay the full $270 session fee
Step 2: We provide you with a detailed invoice
Step 3: You submit the invoice to your private health insurer
Step 4: Your insurer reimburses you directly
Please note: We can't process private health claims for you, but we'll give you everything you need to make your claim. Make sure to check with your insurer before your first session to understand what rebate you'll receive.
Other Funding Streams
We accept:
✅ NDIS - Self-managed
✅ NDIS - Plan-managed
If you are intending on using either of these funding streams, please let us know when you book your first session.
We don't accept:
❌ NDIA-managed plans
❌ Other funding types (Work Cover, DVA)
Payment FAQ's
Do you offer bulk billing?
No. Our sessions are $270, with a Medicare rebate of $98.95, leaving an out-of-pocket cost of $171.05.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes! We provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurer. You claim directly with them and they reimburse you.
What if I can't afford the gap?
I understand cost is a consideration — see the "Let's Talk About the Cost" section above. The Medicare Safety Net can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs once you reach the annual threshold. We can also adjust session frequency to fit your budget, or you can access free resources through my newsletter.
How do I pay?
Payment is due at the time of your session. We accept credit card, debit card, and bank transfer.
Do you offer payment plans?
We require payment at the time of service. However, Medicare rebates are processed quickly (usually within 1-2 business days), which helps manage costs.
When will I receive my Medicare rebate?
We process Medicare claims immediately after your session. Medicare typically deposits the rebate ($98.95) into your nominated bank account within 1-2 business days.
